SHAWNEE — After claiming the state runner-up trophy in Class 4A last year, the Plainview Lady Indians were hoping to finally claim their 19th state title in program history on Saturday.

SHAWNEE — After claiming the state runner-up trophy in Class 4A last year, the Plainview Lady Indians were hoping to finally claim their 19th state title in program history on Saturday.   Unfortunately, the color was once again silver for Plainview, as the Lady Indians finished second overall with 80 points, well ahead of third placed Sequoyah-Tahlequah at the Class 3A state cross country meet, which was held at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee.   Madie Turner was the top finisher for Plainview in seventh place overall with a time of 12:42.56, with Jacey Keith close behind in ninth place overall, as she clocked in at 12:48.48.   Scarlett Williams finished 19th overall in the race as she crossed the finish line with a time of 13:04.81, with Hadyn Hobbs finishing 24th overall with a time of 13:09.61.   Alli McAdams clocked in at 13:16.92 for 28th overall, with Katie Wiggs clocking in at 13:55.14, and Olivia Heller finishing with a time of 14:37.75.
