SHAWNEE — After earning their places at the state meet, the Sulphur boys and girls cross country teams each made sure they left a strong mark on the competition Saturday at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in the Class 4A state meet.

SHAWNEE — After earning their places at the state meet, the Sulphur boys and girls cross country teams each made sure they left a strong mark on the competition Saturday at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in the Class 4A state meet. 

The Lady Bulldogs managed to finish 12th overall while the Bulldogs finished 17th in the team standings. 

Jaidyn Vallandingham was the top finisher for the Lady Bulldogs in their respective race, clocking in with a time of 13:46.43.

Carlee Cole clocked in with a time of 14:14.30, with Hannah Priest and Adrianna Dennis finishing with times of 14:19.47 and 14:20.10 respectively. 

Iris Gonzales finished with a time of 15:13.39, with Cassi Matlack at 15:39.05 and Leslie Nieves finishing with a time of 16:12.13.

In the boys race, Brailyn Vallandingham was the top finisher for Sulphur with a time of 19:13.45.

Carson Phillips clocked in with a time of 19:18.27, with Ruben Osornio finishing at 19:21.90.

Gus Wade ran a 19:36.46, with Konner Lunsford at 19:59.67, Aspen Jolly clocking in at 21:13.12, and Zane Parks finishing with a time of 21:47.90.
