While a new era began another one continued Friday night at Turner High School.   The Lady Falcons started their first season under new head coach Bruce Keatts, while the Falcons continued their journey with second year head coach Jimmy Voight.   Both teams managed to get wins over Wapanucka to begin their respective seasons.   Turner will be on the road Friday night taking on Milburn with games set to be played at 6:30 and 8 p.m.   Girls   Turner 58 Wapanucka 45   A change in leadership paid off on opening night as the Lady Falcons took down Wapanucka, giving their new head coach his first victory of the year.   Turner opened the game with a 16-5 first quarter run, before Wapanucka stormed back to close the gap to 10 points at 33-23 going into the break.   The Lady Falcons managed to lead 45-34 after the third quarter, before finishing the game off in the fourth outscoring Wapanucka 13-11.   Miranda Crespo led the scoring for the Lady Falcons with 19 points, followed by Tallie Tynes with 15 points and Hope Hill scoring 10 points. Kodi Durst finished with seven points.   Boys   Turner 56 Wapanucka 53   There was plenty of drama in the late game of the night, as the Falcons managed to hold off a stubborn Wapanucka side for their first win of the season.   Tyler Campbell torched the opposition with 27 points on the night, with Ridge Parker scoring 11 points for the Falcons.   But it was Wapanucka who held the lead after the first quarter at 14-11, before the Falcons closed the gap to one point as they were down 30-29 going into the break.   A strong third quarter run helped Turner regain the lead going to the fourth ahead 44-39, before the Falcons endured a late rally to win the game despite being outscored 14-12 in the final frame.
