An Ardmore father and son are facing complaints for grand larceny following an alleged theft incident that occurred at a local business last week.


According to Carter County court documents filed Nov. 18, Zachariah Elliott, 40, is accused of working with his father, Glenn Elliott, 65, to steal a Zebra data collection terminal from a business located in the 200 block of Q St. SW.


Ardmore Police Department officers responded to the incident on Nov. 14, estimating the value of the property stolen at around $2,000.


Due to previous charges, sentences could vary for the two individuals if found guilty.


Both father and son have reportedly been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute in the past, according to court documents. Zachariah Elliott has also previously been charged with identity theft and forgery in the second degree.


Zachariah Elliot is potentially facing imprisonment for a term of two years to life or a fine not exceeding $1,000, or both a fine, imprisonment and restitution for the alleged stolen property.


Glenn Elliot is potentially facing imprisonment for a term up to 10 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000, or both a fine, imprisonment and restitution for the alleged stolen property.
