Following a successful 2018-2019 season in which they claimed the district title and made an appearance in the regional tournament, the Sulphur Bulldogs now have their road map for the upcoming season.
Following a successful 2018-2019 season in which they claimed the district title and made an appearance in the regional tournament, the Sulphur Bulldogs now have their road map for the upcoming season. Sulphur’s boys basketball team will have several home dates this season, and get to showcase their skills in Oklahoma City. The Bulldogs will begin their season at the Madill Winter Classic tournament on Dec. 5-7, before having a few days off where they will travel to Capitol Hill for a game against the Red Wolves on Dec. 17. Just three days later the Bulldogs will make their way to the Pete Byrd Sports Complex for a rivalry game against the Davis Wolves, before heading to the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Jan. 3 for a special contest against the Byng Pirates in OKC. Jan. 7 will bring with it another rivalry game as Sulphur takes on Lone Grove, before the Bulldogs head to Lindsay for the annual Charles K. Heatley Memorial Tournament on Jan. 9-11. Sulphur’s first official home game of the season will come on Jan. 14 against Tishomingo, before hosting Comanche just three days later. A road game at Dickson on Jan. 21 will be followed by the annual Heart of Oklahoma Tournament in Purcell on Jan. 23-25. Sulphur will end the month of January with a game against Byng at Byng, before facing off with Madill on Feb. 4 at the Wildcat Fieldhouse. Two straight home games on back-to-back nights against Davis and Marietta will follow on Feb. 6 and 7, before Latta and Plainview come to town on Feb. 11 and 14. Sulphur will end the regular season on Feb. 18 against Kingston on the road.
