Coming off a 21-win season last year and an appearance in the area tournament, the Plainview Lady Indians wasted no time in laying out their intentions for the season Tuesday night. A 21-point first quarter set the tone as the Lady Indians cruised past Santa Fe South 71-47 at the Plainview Activity Center. Plainview kept up the pressure in the second quarter as the Lady Indians scored 19 points, while giving up just five for a comfortable 40-12 lead going into the break. Santa Fe South had its best offensive output in the third quarter with 20 points, while Plainview scored just 15. The Lady Indians finished the game on a strong note with a 16-15 fourth quarter run. Emilee Hudson led the scoring for Plainview with 13 points followed by Peyton Jones and Megan Winchester with eight points apiece.
