TURNER — While the rain might have been causing the temperatures to drop to cold stages Monday night, the Turner Lady Falcons were heating up the nets at Falcon Gymnasium. Turner opened the game with a 22-0 run and never looked back as the Lady Falcons improved to 4-1 on the season with a 61-12 victory over the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. The Lady Falcons defense was on display in the first quarter as the Lady Falcons kept the Lady Indians off the board for the first eight minutes of the game. Near the end of the first half, the Lady Indians managed to get four points on the board, but Turner had already added 16 of its own to extend the lead to 38-4 going into the break. In the third quarter, the Lady Falcons managed to pitch another shutout on the defensive end as they led 53-4 going into the fourth. OSD managed to have its best offensive output in the fourth quarter with eight points, which is the same amount the Lady Falcons scored. Kirshara Belarde and Emily Cavello led the scoring for the Lady Indians with five points apiece, while Nacora Johnson added two points. Hope Hill led the Lady Falcons with 12 points in the game followed by Miranda Crespo with 10 points. Bethany Hall added nine points, with Kodi Durst, Tallie Tynes, and Adlee Kerr scoring eight points apiece. Gracie Stephens scored four points with Karlee Russell putting in two points.
