One individual died and two others were injured following a Carter County collision Monday afternoon


The collision occurred at 3:43 p.m. on Dec. 9 on State Highway 76, four miles south of Wilson, according to reports by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.


OHP is currently investigating the circumstances that led to the three-vehicle collision. Matthew Northam, 53, of Ardmore was driving a 2017 Peterbuilt tractor and trailer at the time of the collision.


Northam was transported to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore where he was treated and released with a leg injury, according to OHP.


Ruford Williams, 67, of Wilson was driving a 2002 Toyota Tundra pickup. Williams was also transported to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, but later transferred to the OU Medical Center where he was reportedly admitted in stable condition with a head injury.


Brandi Salyer, 30, of Wilson was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. Salyer was transported to Medical City Plano in Texas where she was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal, trunk external, leg and head injuries.


Salyer reportedly succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the Plano Medical Center, according to OHP.


All drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision and the roadways were reportedly dry and the weather was cloudy.
