This season has been a refreshing change of pace for the Madill basketball teams.   With both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats off to winning starts, both teams looked to continue their respective successes Friday night at Tishomingo.   Unfortunately, it turned out to be a split decision on the night as the Lady Wildcats escaped in overtime while the Wildcats fell against the Indians.   Girls   Madill 55 Tishomingo 52 F/OT   Coming off their upset victory over state ranked Kingston earlier in the week, the Lady Wildcats made sure there was no shortage of excitement against the Lady Indians.   Madill’s girls improved to 5-1 on the season as they claimed a narrow overtime victory over Tishomingo.   At the end of the first quarter it was Madill leading 10-3, before Tishomingo scored 14 points before halftime to make it a 26-17 game at the half.   Tishomingo seemed to be in control after the third quarter as the Lady Indians went on a 14-5 run to tie the game at 31-31.   Both teams scored 16 points apiece in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime at 47-47.   But in the extra session it was the Lady Wildcats outscoring Tishomingo 8-5 to seal the victory.   Jayden Weiberg led the Lady Wildcats with 18 points followed by Abbie Lambertsen with 12 points with Kristen Chapa adding 10 points.   Boys   Tishomingo 66 Madill 45   After starting the season on a solid winning streak, the Madill Wildcats are suddenly in a small funk.   Friday night the Wildcats lost their second straight contest, as they were defeated by the Indians.   Tishomingo grabbed the lead in the first quarter with a 14-9 run before leading 26-14 going into the halftime break.   A 16-7 run by the Indians in the third quarter put the game out of reach for the Wildcats, as both teams combined for 46 points in the fourth quarter.   Ezekiel Fuentes led the Wildcats with 12 points in the game with Miguel Duran scoring nine points.
