While the Lady Falcons managed to earn another victory, the Falcons were handed their first defeat of the season against the Maysville Warriors. Turner is at Marietta Tuesday night beginning at 6:30 p.m. Girls Turner 48 Maysville 36 Since suffering their first loss of the season on Dec. 3, the Lady Falcons haven’t looked back. Friday night brought the Turner girls their fifth victory of the season as they took down the Lady Warriors, moving to 5-1 in the process. However, it was Maysville who came out strong in the first quarter grabbing a 15-12 advantage. But the Lady Falcons came back with a run of their own before halftime as Turner closed out the first half with a 14-4 run. Maysville though struck back with a 14-12 third quarter to cut the lead to five points at 38-33, before the Lady Falcons closed out the game with a 10-3 fourth quarter. Hope Hill led Turner with 15 points on the night followed by Miranda Crespo with 12 points, with Kodi Durst adding nine points, and Tallie Tynes scoring six points. Boys Maysville 56 Turner 49 For the first time this season the Falcons were held below 50 points, and it ultimately spelled trouble. Maysville became the first time to claim a victory over Turner this season as the Warriors escaped with a seven point victory. The Warriors opened the game with a 16-14 first quarter, before outscoring the Falcons 15-5 in the second to maintain the advantage. Turner did respond in the third with a 12-5 run to make it 36-31 for the Warriors going to the fourth, but the Falcons allowed 20 points in the fourth while scoring just 18. Tyler Campbell and Colton Empey each had 15 points in the game to lead Turner as Hunter Johnston added 11 points.
