MARIETTA — This season, the Madill Wildcats have managed to win in a variety of a ways.   Thursday afternoon at the Ronnie Moore Invitational, they added a new way to their arsenal.   Madill never trailed at any point against the Turner Falcons, as the Wildcats went wire-to-wire in a 40-33 victory in the opening round of the tournament at Marietta High School.   As a result, the Falcons will play at 11:30 a.m. today in the consolation semifinals, while the Wildcats will play at 5:30 p.m. in the championship semifinals.   Madill jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the first quarter at the 6:25 mark, before Turner got its first points of the game at 8-2 with 5:32 left in the first.   The Wildcats would eventually take a 10-4 lead into the second quarter.   Turner managed to get to within three points at 12-9 with six minutes remaining in the first half, but the Wildcats had an answer.   A 9-5 run by Madill to close out the first half gave them a 21-14 advantage going to the third quarter.   Despite outscoring the Wildcats by a 6-5 margin in the third quarter, the Falcons were still down 26-20 going to the fourth.   Turner never could get very close down the stretch, as the Wildcats closed out the game on a 14-10 run.   Miguel Duran led the Wildcats with 14 points followed by Austin Maxey with eight points.   Turner was led by Tyler Campbell with 15 points with Colton Empey scoring 10 points.
