For the Fox Foxes, this season has been all about a process and building towards something. Saturday night, the No. 17 Foxes added another brick to their foundation. Fox used another balanced scoring attack to overwhelm the Turner Falcons in the finals of the South Central Conference tournament, winning 59-21 to move to 12-0 on the season. At the end of the first quarter the Foxes held a 10-4 lead, but managed to build on it in a big way before the break. A 17-6 run in the second quarter gave the Foxes some breathing room going to the break at 27-10, before Fox iced the game in the third as they held the Falcons to just two points while racing out to a 46-12 advantage. Fox finished off the game with a 13-9 fourth quarter run. David Martin led the scoring for the Foxes with 23 points followed by Drew Martin with 12 points. Miles Townsend added seven points for Fox with Jacob Dart and Rashod Fields each scoring six points apiece. Tyler Campbell and Luke O’Dell led the Falcons with six points apiece.
