Both the No. 13 Foxes and the Lady Foxes won their respective contests against Maysville, with the Foxes moving to a perfect 13-0 in the process. Fox is back in action this evening against Thackerville at home beginning at 6:30 p.m. Girls Fox 37 Maysville 29 After ending the weekend with a third place finish at the South Central Conference tournament, the Lady Foxes got right back to work with a narrow victory over Maysville Monday night to move to 8-5 on the season. Fox opened the game with an 11-3 run in the first quarter, before Maysville stormed back with a 14-9 run to narrow the Lady Foxes lead to 20-17. Maysville continued to apply the pressure in the third quarter with a 7-6 run, but the Lady Foxes held their nerve and finished off the game with an 11-5 fourth quarter run. Bree Phelps led the scoring for Fox with 16 points followed by Jada Newhouse with 10 points. Sidney Fletcher added five points for the Lady Foxes. Boys Fox 50 Maysville 33 This past weekend many thought Maysville would be meeting Fox in the championship game of the SCC tournament. While fate might have had other plans on that end, the Foxes were still able to secure a second victory over the Warriors this season Monday night, keeping them unbeaten. The Foxes raced out to a 15-4 lead in the first quarter before taking a 33-17 lead into the break. Both teams scored eight points in the third quarter, before Fox finished off the game with a 9-8 run in the fourth quarter. Drew Martin led the Foxes with 20 points followed by David Martin with 10 points. Miles Townsend added seven points for the Foxes.
