Guy T. Ledbetter was born April 28, 1940, to Pete and Alyne (Longino) Ledbetter in Ardmore. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Oct. 15, 2019.

He graduated Ardmore High School in 1958, where he was a legendary quarterback. He went on to attend Cameron University in Lawton, and Southeastern University in Durant.

Guy T. married Midge Henderson, Feb. 17, 1961, and they settled in Ardmore to raise a family, where he remained selling oilfield equipment.

His one great love was his wife Midge of 58 years. Guy T. also had a passion for the game of golf. He enjoyed the fellowship with his golf buddies just as much. Guy T. loved to entertain, either with a song and guitar or by making people laugh at his many stories told . . . whether true or not.

Guy T. wore many hats in his life and was a great salesman; he had a gift of gab like no other. He began his working career by joining his father’s drilling company. Guy T. went on to become the sports editor at the Daily Ardmoreite and disc jockey at KVSO. After ten years employment at Uniroyal he retired in 1980. He and his wife opened "The Edge" nightclub and many more lifelong friendships and great memories were made. In 1993, they opened "Time Out" restaurant, a sports bar and grill. After the restaurant was sold, he was fully retired and truly enjoying the best part of his life, playing golf every day. In this sport he so loved . . . he won two hole in ones!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Alyne Ledbetter and many lifelong friends.

Guy T. is survived by his wife, Midge of the home, daughters, Laura Dawn Ledbetter of Fort Worth, Texas, Rachelle Graham of Fort Worth and Robyn Sowders and husband, Donnie of Dickson; grandchildren, Brandi Carey and husband, Ryan of Roanoke, Texas, Robert Stanley and wife, Randi of Lone Grove, Tanna Ducharme and husband, Billy of Ardmore, Britt Jones and wife, Jordan of Healdton, Brady Graham and wife, Chelsea of Weatherford, Texas and Hunter Sowders of Dickson; great-grandchildren, Keller and Ava Stanley, Charlotte, Camille and Cooper Carey, Halie, Merlin and Josey Ducharme, Jakson and Jacoby Jones and Remington Sowders.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Sowders, Brady Graham, Britt Jones, James Graham, Robert Stanley and Ryan Carey. Honorary pallbearers will be

Guy T. loved life, his family, two dogs, Katie and Sugar, golf, music, team roping and . . . entertaining the world.

As Guy T. would say, "You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here!"
