Sue was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Love County to the late Norris C. Sharp and Ollie (Anderson) Sharp. She married Richard A. Birdsall April 26, 1952, in Marietta. They lived in a number of places, wherever Richard’s employment took them. After Richard’s retirement, they traveled extensively throughout the Untied States and Canada.

Sue enjoyed cooking for her family and entertaining friends, as well as working in her yard and flower beds. One of her favorite hobbies was China painting. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Merrick Drive in Ardmore, and served her Lord in many ways within the church. She loved and appreciated her church family.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Caroline and Sally; two brothers, Joe and Bob Sharp.

Survivors include her loving husband and best friend Richard of the home; a daughter, Suzanne Frock and husband Ed of Scott City, Kan.; a son, Scott Birdsall and wife Teena of Owasso, Okla.; a grandson, Kelsey Birdsall and wife Rebecca of Dallas; a granddaughter, Skylar Birdsall of Owasso; three sisters, Geneva Moore and husband John of Whitesboro, Texas; Mary Vinson of Lone Grove and Wilberta Robbins of Colorado; two sister’s-in-law, Betty Sharp of Albion, Neb., and Celestine Sharp of Lone Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Sharp, Kelsey Birdsall, Ed Frock, Larry Vinson, Joe McAdams and Glenn Gary. Honorary bearers Jim Thornton, Bill Bowden, John Gibbs and Jim Garrison.

The family suggests any memorial contributions to the Church of Christ building fund on Merrick Drive in Ardmore, Cross Timbers Hospice or to a charity of your choice.

Services for Sue will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, in the Church of Christ on Merrick Drive in Ardmore, with Bro. Ron Benedict and Bro. Harold Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta.

Time of visitation for family and friends will be Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
