Funeral services for Tom Holt will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Dotson officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Monday evening from 6-8 p.m.
Te son of the late, Gernie Henery Holt and Anna Lee (Chism) Holt, Tom was born on May 3, 1940 in Yale County, Arkansas and passed away on Nov. 22, 2019, at his Lone Grove resident at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 19 days.
He and the former Linda Gail Jackson were married on July 6, 1964 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and were married for 51 years.
Tom grew up in Mt. George, Ark., and attended school at Ola School system. He enlisted into the United States Navy at Dardanelle, Ark., in 1956. While serving he was a sharpshooter and had received the Good Conduct Medal and was honorably discharged.
Tom enjoyed his family and friends and was known for his famous smoked hams. In his leisure time he would watch PBR and spent time gardening and mowing his yard and his neighbors yards. Tom was a heavy equipment operator and had worked in numerous oilfields. He spent his last 25 years working with Chatham Dozer Service of Healdton.
He is survived by his former wife of 51 years, Linda Holt of Ardmore; son, Gary Holt and wife, Joann of Lone Grove; daughter, Malinda Latimer and husband Don of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Mathew Holt and wife Krizia; Sarah Morrison and Sydney Holt; great-great grandchildren, Cooper, Andres and Aleksi; brothers, Lawayne Holt & wife Mary Louise and Lloyd Holt & wife, Natasha; sisters, Birtha Francis and Judy Westmoreland. Preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cole Holt and a brother, John Holt.
Pallbearers will be: Mack Treadwell, Don Latimer, Bernie Lang, Jeremy Renteria, Bobby Bean and Mike Meadows.
