Funeral services for Troy Gregory "Greg" Gaither, 57, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey Douglas Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Gary Gunsolus. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park with the assistance of Kent James, Craig Wallace, Tim Acox, Jarod Gaither, Jake Gaither, Steve Taylor and Bryan Garza.
There will be a time of visitation and support for family and friends Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 7 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Surrounded by his loving family, Greg passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, in Ardmore at the age of 57 years, and 19 days. He was born at Ardmore, Nov. 12, 1962, to Troy Gaither and Judith "Judy" (Scarberry) Gaither. A graduate of Ardmore High School, the class of 1981, he also studied at Murray State College.
Greg was self-employed in fence construction. He had a special love for his grandchildren and was a big fan of O.U. football. In his leisure time he enjoyed playing the guitar, bowling and water skiing.
Survivors include his life partner, Carolyn Davis; his daughter, Taylor Gaither; parents, Troy and Judy Gaither; a brother, Kirk Gaither and his wife, Jana; grandchildren, Bryan and Braylor Garza; his cousin, Tim Acox; nephews, Jacob Gaither and wife, Katie and Jarod Gaither; great nephews, Jaxon and Brady Gaither; also a step-daughter, Mandy Glenn and husband, Joe and step-grandchildren, Kezni and Kreedon Glenn.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Fayenell Gaither, Gene and Mildred Eeds and an aunt, Sue Baker.
