Celebration of Life service for Roversa Mechelle Jaggers will be 1 p.m. Dec. 7, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Eulogy will be given by Pastor Abraham Walton, Jr. Inurnment will follow at Clearview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mechelle was born on Nov. 3, 1968 in Ardmore to the late Bud Alexander "Tim" Jaggers and Virginia L. Wrenn. She grew up and attended elementary, junior high and high school in Ardmore, Okla., graduating in 1987. She went on to attend Cameron University in Lawton, Okla., graduating with a B.S. degree in business administration.

Mechelle was the human resource manager for Oklahoma Emergency Management for the past 23 years. In her leisure time she loved arts and crafts, decorating, party planning and enjoyed taking pictures at family gatherings. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping. Mechelle was baptized at an early age and was a devoted Christian. She had a heart the size of the Grand Canyon always willing to help anyone.

She departed to glory on Dec. 1, 2019 at her Oklahoma City residence at the age of 51. She received her promotion from the Most High to arrive at a new and better position.

I have accomplished the work God gave me to do, as a loving daughter, sister, friend, witness. I leave to cherish my memory, my mother, Virginia Wrenn; brothers, Greg Turner, Dion Wrenn and wife Zahnzaha, Darrick Wrenn and wife Janice and George Toomer; great uncle Willie Hurte and wife Daisy; a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other extended family and friends.

Mechelle was preceded in death by her father, Bud Alexander Jaggers “Tim”; aunt, Patricia Wrenn and Aunt Barbara Hurte; maternal grandmother, Leola Wrenn; great-grandmother, Dora Patton; paternal grandparents, Larmon and Leola Jaggers; nephew, Jonathan Wrenn.

To my family and friends, I leave these truths; this is not the end but the beginning. I am still present, but unseen, for I am with God in his world.

Father in to your hands I commend my spirit. I am home! Be Blessed!
