Funeral services for former Ardmore resident Wanda Sue Blalock Lemons, 88, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Tolbert officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Wanda passed away on Dec. 3, 2019 at a health care facility in Anderson, S.C. The daughter of the late Atwell Waller and Lillian Myrtle Culp Threlkeld, Wanda was born June 16, 1931, in Ardmore.

After graduating high school, Wanda received an associate degree in nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse for many years at the Ardmore Veterans Center before retiring. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore.

Wanda married Artie L. "Bill" Blalock Dec. 6, 1974 and he preceded her in death Feb. 21, 2002. She later married Anthony P. Lemons and they had lived in Florida prior to his death. Wanda was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Katrina Dillard, her sister Shirley Boyd, her granddaughter Cindy Lynn Winsett, her son-in-law Kenneth Grammer, and the father of her children Harold Dillard.

She is survived two sons, Harold Dillard and wife Karen of Talala, Okla.; Gary Dillard and wife Karen of Belton, S.C.; her daughter Carol Sue Grammer of Carnation, Wash.; sister Claudia Price and husband Jerald, of Marietta, brother John Boyd and wife Gayle of Ardmore, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
