Rosemary Trovato Knight, passed away on Nov. 25, 2019, in Oklahoma City, after an extended illness at the age of 72.

Rose was born on Feb. 9, 1947 to Joseph Michael Trovato and Belva June Maxwell in Braddock, Pa. She graduated from Scott High School in North Braddock in 1965 and went on to join the Army for a short time.

Rose was blessed with her son, Herbert Ofseur in 1972. She was brought to Oklahoma after her parents relocated to Ardmore and she met Wendyl Knight. They were married Feb. 8, 1982. They welcomed their daughter JoRaye on their first wedding anniversary. Rose and Wendyl were married for 14 years, but remained lifelong partners, friends, and caregivers to each other.

Rose was a highly intelligent woman and held many trades in her life. From nursing to bartending to cosmetology to waitressing, she mastered any task she took on. She loved to read, cook delicious Italian food, and cheer on her Pittsburgh Steelers. Rose attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and received her bachelors in elementary education in 1990. She also went on to complete her associates in nursing from Murray State College in 1994 and worked as a registered nurse.

Rose is survived by her son, Herb Ofseur, Las Vegas; her daughter, JoRaye Knight and partner Justin, Oklahoma City; sisters Patricia Ragano, JoAnn Trovato, Pittsburgh; Annette Walker and husband Dean, Tishomingo; Marji Doyle and husband Rick, Mannford; Carol Trovato, Ardmore; brother Joey Trovato, Ardmore; and grandchildren Sande, Silas, Israel, Makaylah and Ozias Ofseur, all of Las Vegas. Rose joins her former spouse, Wendyl, parents Joe and June, her grandparents and long time furry companion Baby, in Heaven.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020, at Casa Romo in Ardmore.
