Waurika-Kenneth Warren Barbour was born in Wirt, on June 3, 1937 to Fred Warren Barbour and Edythe S. (Helm) Barbour. He graduated from Dundee High School in McMann, in 1955.


He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 8, 2020 at his home in Waurika.


Ken married Linda Alene Hayes in 1981. They have lived in Waurika since then. He loved spending time with family and friends while having cookouts and vacationing in Colorado. He enjoyed watching college football, bull riding and Western movies. He loved attending church with his wife—Linda,


Ken is survived by his wife--Linda of the home; his son--Mitchell Kent Barbour and his wife, Paula of Ardmore; his daughter--Michelle Hoover and her husband, Jeff of Enid; grandsons--Joshua Barbour of Ardmore and Jordan Barbour of Oklahoma City; stepdaughters—Kim Zweiacker of Devol, and Christie Sharp and her husband, Phil of Lawton.


Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his sister—Monta Lou Gifford of Oklahoma City; his brother—Don Wayne “Butch” Barbour of Healdton.


Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Brother Bruce Humphries officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 7 p.m.; family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
