June Ruth Gilliam
Graveside services for June Ruth Gilliam will be Friday, January 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery, conducted by her loving family.
Mrs. Gilliam was born July 3, 1928 at Orr, Oklahoma, to the late Frank Lee Palmer and Effie McCauley Palmer. Following a long and useful life she passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 in an Ardmore convalescent home at the age of 92 years, 6 months and 8 days.
A Salesclerk in the health food industry, Mrs. Gilliam enjoyed playing the piano, Scrabble, cooking and entertaining; and probably the most enjoyable times were when she would dress up and impersonate the Grand Ole Opry, Minnie Pearl, those were some good times. June was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1956 in Oklahoma City. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness. The work of sharing her faith in Jehovah God and his promises with others was of utmost importance to her.
Her family surviving, that will forever more cherish precious memories, include her daughter, Kenna Allen, her husband, Terry and their son, Joshua Allen, his wife, Sarah, and their children, Samantha and Jace; daughter, Jenna Davila and husband, Landon, their daughter, Hannah; her son, Tracy Gilliam and wife, Carie, their two daughters, Jennifer and Jillian Gilliam and son, Jeffery Gilliam, his wife, Emilee and their children, Joshua, Caleb and Elizabeth.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gilliam was preceded in death by her siblings Hobart, Herbert, Vernon, Doris and baby Bobby; Uncle Ray and his siblings; and father of her children, Levi Kenneth Gilliam.
