Ardmore - Robert "Bob' Franklin Elliott, Jr. went to his heavenly home on January 15, 2021 at his home in Ardmore. Visitation will be held all day Monday January 18th at Craddock Funeral Home for those at risk or concerned with Covid-19. The family will be in attendance on Monday from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Craddock Funeral Home on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at 10:00 am with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Bob was born in Ardmore, Ok. to the late Robert and Claudia Elliott on April 19, 1938. He was raised in Ardmore and graduated from Springer High School. He attended college for two years in Edmond, Ok. Bob married the first love of his life, Lorelea Jenkins in 1961. They had three children together and enjoyed 32 years of marital bliss, until her death in 1993. Bob married the second love of his life Kay Owens in 1999 and she stayed by his side until the end.

Bob left Ardmore when he was 17 to work on a farm in Arvin, Ca. with Gary and Jim Elmore. He was an entrepreneur at a young age. During his life Bob owned and operated several businesses. When his kids were young, he was a Farmer/Rancher. He also had a farm supply business, dog breeding business, hydraulics business, oil field supply business and equipment rental & trucking business. He was well known for being an amazing salesman and worked for several large distribution companies.

Bob was an avid sport buff and loved OU football. In his spare time, he enjoyed making small and large pieces of art out of old discarded tree stumps. His artwork included lamps, coffee tables, vases, end tables and TV trays. He sold several pieces at art shows in Santa Fe, NM.

He always enjoyed working the land using heavy equipment. Anyone that knew Bob understood that he always had to be busy. He was always coming up with different business ideas that kept him occupied until his death.

Bob was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Ardmore and really loved his pastor and church family. He always had a heart to help those that were downtrodden and in need of a second chance. He was always willing to give someone a job so they could earn a living.

Bob always bragged about his kids. He was the ultimate role-model on how to work and take care of family. He taught his kids, at a young age, the value of working hard. His favorite saying to his kids, were, "no workie, no eatie", and "if you don't have anything to do, dang sure, don't do nothing on a dirty floor. He was most proud of the fact that all his kids are strong believers in Christ!

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Claudia Elliott, Sister Donna Sue Elliott, Brother, Donnie Elliott and wife Lorelea Jenkins Elliott.

He is survived by his children, Kim Elliott-Hays, of Frisco, Tx, Derek Elliott and wife Malanie, of Ardmore, Greg Elliott and his wife Penny of Ardmore, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. nephew Junior Elliott and wife Laurel.

The kids wish to express their sincere appreciation to Kay Elliott for loving our dad and staying by his side. Kay was his best friend and companion an always took care of him. Kay did everything she could to make sure dad had everything he needed. Kay will always be part of the family and we kids love her very much!
