Leo D. Roberts
Ardmore - Graveside services with military honors for Leo D. Roberts, 82, of Ardmore, OK, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Lakeview Cemetery, in Marietta, OK, with Dr. Walt Spradling officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Marietta.
Leo was born November 4, 1938, in Snow, OK the son of Syble (Minyard) and J.A. "Bud" Roberts. He passed away January 18, 2021 at Mercy Health Love County in Marietta.
Leo grew up in Canute, OK and graduated with the Canute Class of 1957. He joined the U.S. Army National Guard in 1959 and was honorably discharged 1961. Leo moved to Ardmore in 1968. He married the love of his life, Jean Cox on December 10, 1970. They just celebrated their 50TH wedding anniversary. Leo retired from US Foods as a salesman and then drove cars for several car dealerships in Ardmore. He was a member of the Ardmore Elks Lodge since the 70's and was the Exalted Ruler from 1973-1974. Leo was a diehard Sooner and OKC Thunder fan. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed working in his yard. One of his pastimes was visiting with all the coffee drinkers at McDonalds'. Although Leo had many interests he enjoyed, attending his grandson's activities and sporting events was his favorite.
Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; daughter, Allyson Neher and husband Scott of Ardmore; grandchildren, Dylan Neher and wife Macee of Camp Lejeune, NC, Tyler Neher, Colin Neher, and Boston Neher all of Ardmore; great-grandchildren, Claire Elizabeth Neher and Kinsler Lane Paxson of Camp Lejeune; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin Roberts, Bill Roberts, and Jerry Roberts.
Honorary bearers are Dylan Neher, Tyler Neher, Colin Neher, Boston Neher, Scott Neher, Kevan Spradling, Rod Shafer, and Carroll Deck.
