Evalyn Mae (Halpin) Boone Owen

Evalyn Mae (Halpin) Boone Owen was born February 8, 1929, in Caddo, Oklahoma, to the late Oscar and Birdie Halpin. She passed away from this life on February 7, 2021, just one day short of celebrating her 92nd birthday.

Evalyn graduated from Ardmore High School in the class of 1947. She married Emitt Owen on May 5, 1995. They made their home in Ardmore. Evalyn worked for a number of years with the Noble Foundation and the Westheimer-Neustadts. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed shopping in Dallas, TX, with her best friend Billie Nance Hensley and most of all, spending time with family. She was a member of the St. Phillip's Episcopal Church until her health started declining. Evalyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emitt Owen, son William "Bill" Boone, Jr., and a sister, Fredricka Maddox. She is survived by her son Bob Boone, and wife Pam of Ardmore, daughter, Lynette Patterson, and husband Gary of Ardmore, sister Alma Snyder and husband, Jim, of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Matt Harris and wife, Jennifer, Kelby Price, Blake Price, Jennifer Boone, Wesley Boone; great grandchildren, Carter Harris, Abby Spragins, Lyric Boone, and Easton Boone. Nephew Wil Snyder and wife Donna, and niece Brynn Morris and husband Steve.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 10th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., at Craddock Memorial Chapel with brother Donny Custar officiating. Her service will be live streamed on Craddock Funeral Home's YouTube page. Anyone attending will be required to wear a mask and social distance. Grandsons Matt Harris, Kelby Price, Blake Price, and Wesley Boone, will serve as pallbearers.
