Funeral services for Doras Richards are scheduled for Thursday, February 11, 2021 in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at McAlester Cemetery. With Covid-19 in mind, seating will be limited to the public. A visitation will be held all day Wednesday for friends to come and pay their respects. Masks and social distancing recommendations are to be followed.

Doras was born Feb 12, 1935 in Overbrook, Ok. to Archie Elmo and Grace Elaine (Fomby) Gentry. She passed this life on February 7, 2021 in Ardmore. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1953. She and Jim Richards were married on May 13, 1953 in Gainesville, Tx.

Doras and Jim were involved in several businesses over the years helping each other every step of the way. At different times in their lives they ran, Jim's Stop 'n Shop, Jim Richards Electric, The Light Gallery and Jim's Grocery and Deli. Doras even continued fixing lamps into her retirement.

Doras is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dianne Robson and Jerry Harris of Ardmore, sons; Carey (Scott) Richards and wife Lisa of Ardmore and Gary Lynn Richards and wife Theresa of Ardmore. Sister; Peggy Knisley of Ardmore and brother, Jimmy "Bud" Gentry of Ardmore; Grandchildren, Mat and Jennifer Robson, Mikie and Ashley Robson, Teya Gray, Zachary And Leigh Robson, Jake Richards, Tyrell Robson, Josh and Kaisa Richards, Kacie and Dustin Colbert, Jacob and Reagan Perry, and Dylann Baker; Great Grandchildren, Logan, Gracie, Kaiden, Corey, Kolten, Emmett, Easton, Kimber, Emersyn, Leighton, Roman, Liam, Dierks, Jabe, Charlee, Cassidy, and Baylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim Richards, brothers, Jackie Gentry, Floyd "Sonny" Gentry; son in law, Staff Sargent Mike Robson, sister, Betty McBeth; Daughter in law, Melanie Richards.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
