Jo Vivian Jackson
At the age of ninety years and six months of age and surrounded by her loving family, Jo Vivian Jackson went to heaven, Good Friday, April 2, 2021. There to greet her was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her parents, Joseph Roy and Viola North, her husband, Joe Jackson, son, Tracy Jackson many other family and friends. What at time it must have been.
Jo was born October 2, 1930 in Ardmore to the late Joseph Roy and Viola (Walker) North. She grew up in the Mary Niblack area, attending school there to the 3rd grade, she than attended Dickson schools and was a graduate of Dickson High School. She was a member of the Mary Niblack Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.
Jo and Joseph "Joe" Jackson were married March 17, 1951 at Ardmore. They were the parents of three children, Barbara, Carol and Tracy. They were married near forty-seven years when Joe passed away, February 23, 1998.
During her life and in addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Jo had worked at Cooks and Excelsior Cleaners, the Rogers Beverage Co. and alongside her daughter at Barbara Jackson Cleaning Services.
Jo is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jackson, Carol Conrad and husband, John, of Ardmore. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Tracy Jackson.
There will be a time of visitation and support for family and friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
Jo's Home Going Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Roger Sims. Burial will be at the Lone Cedar Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Jo's name to the Gideons or a charity of choice.
