Lester Evans Ford
Services for Lester Evans Ford are scheduled for Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at the funeral home. The service will also be live streamed on YouTube live.
Lester was born and raised in Deese, Oklahoma. He graduated from Springer High School in 1956, Murray State College in 1958 and attended Oklahoma State University. He and the former Janee "LeAnn" Adams spent 31 years as a couple and were married August 20th, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Lester worked many years traveling all over the world working in the oilfield. He made many friends that still stayed in touch. He also owned Les Ford Welding and Ford Co Agri-Services for many years. But his true passion was in Agriculture. He farmed and raised cattle for over fifty years. He had a real weakness for horses. He loved to ride, raise and just owning a good horse. He could always talk horses with anyone. He was a member of AQHA for almost 50 years. His love of hard work and determination to succeed in anything in life was something he wanted everyone to value. His words to anyone when heading out to work was "Make a Hand".
He is survived by his wife/soulmate, LeAnn Ford; brothers, Sam Ford and wife, Dewinda of Lone Grove; Danny Ford and wife, Donale of Springer; Steve Ford and wife, Kendra of Springer, Mike Ford and wife, Amy of Franklin, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Ford, Devlon Ford, Dalton Ford, Floyd Cole, Brandon Ford, and Troy Montgomery.
Honorary bearers will be Jay Floyd Christian, Marty Rose, Shane Rose, Raymond Pletcher, Chris White, and Axel White.
