Funeral services for Janet Kay Brown, 65, will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021
in the Centennial Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
The daughter of the late Claude Crouch and Vivian (Oakley) Crouch, Kay was born on December 3, 1955 in Opelousas, LA and passed away on April 25, 2021 in the local hospital.
A resident of Ardmore for over 50 years. She and Kenneth Brown were married on April 28, 1991 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In her leisure time, Kay enjoyed watching both the history channel and the home shopping channel which she bought from a lot. Kay was a housewife and loved taken care of the home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of the home; two daughters, Sonya Ramos and Candie West both of Ardmore; one son, D.L. West of Whitesboro, TX' a step-daughter, Gretchen Halton of Helena, TX; brother, David Crouch of Shawnee, OK; three sisters, Corrine Guilbeau Of Durant, OK, Gayzell Brown-Delores of Dennison, TX and Wilma Dean Guilbeau of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Hunter West, Brett Wall, Justin Walker, Shannon Crowson, Desiree Rogers, Jeremiah West, Madolyn West, Jacob West and Anna Shaefer; great grandchildren, Haylin, Kade, Baylee, Avery and Nora; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews that always had a special place in her heart. Preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Dwight West; sisters, Belva Jean Lefler, Velva Ruth Douglas, Adelle Dickinson and Evelin Simon.
Pallbearers will be: Brett Wall, Justin Walker, Randell Guilbeau, Daniel Guilbeau, Aaron Berry and D.L. West.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.
