Thomas (Tommy) Glenn Forguson
Tommy Forguson was born on July 16, 1951 to Glenn & Edna Forguson at Fort Benning, Georgia. He grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina and graduated from Pine Forest High School. He moved to Gene Autry, Oklahoma in 1975 with his family. He attended Murray State College, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and The University of Oklahoma earning multiple degrees.
Tommy had a passion for history, literature, and especially the works of the Romantic Masters. He wrote many of his own poems, short stories and was a published author. He loved the writings of Keats and his favorite quote was "A thing of beauty is a joy forever".
Tommy resided at Ardmore Village Apartments with his beloved cat Charlie. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at The Village, the medical team at Mercy Hospital and his dear friend Jackie Hays.
Tommy was a gentle soul who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Robert Forguson of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma; Sister Sandi Crowell and husband Gary of Garland, Texas; Sister Cheryl Pucci and husband Rick of Garland, Texas; Nephews Walt Crowell, Joey Crowell, Andrei Pucci and niece Julia Pucci; Great nephews Jackson Crowell and Patton Crowell.; Aunts Joann Collins, Imogene Hood, Margie Forguson, Kay Thomas and husband Jim; and the infamous Charlie the Cat.
Graveside service will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 am at Willis Cemetery, Willis, Oklahoma. Jesse Beal will officiate the service. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
