Jimmie Don Duncan
Jimmie Don Duncan was born June 26, 1944, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to J.B. Duncan and Onita Stanley. He passed this life on May 11, 2021, at his residence in Lone Grove.
He attended Ardmore High School and then served his country in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Rankin from 1962 to 1965.
Jim had lived and worked in the area most of his life, retiring from Michelin after 30 years of service in the Maintenance Department.
Together with his brother, Tommy Duncan, they formed Duncan's Quality Products in Lone Grove. In 1984, the brothers created a bit of local media buzz by designing, building and selling a custom dog proof trash can holder. After Tommy started TD Welding, Jim continued to operate Duncan's Quality Products on his own for several years, manufacturing specialty machine parts and other custom products.
Jim is survived by his friend, Minnie Lathum, of the home. Two daughters, Kricket Whittaker and husband Craig, of Ripon, California; and Cyndi Knowsley and husband Tom, of Tuttle. Two grandchildren, Daniel Knowsley of Tuttle, and Kaya Whittaker of Ripon.
The second oldest of seven children, he is survived by four siblings; Nita Gayle Stubbs and husband Bob, of Ardmore; Tommy Lee and wife Janie, of Lone Grove; Carol Jean Bloomfield and husband Ronnie, of Wilson; Judy Ann Few, and husband Dale, of Argyle, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim is also survived by Minnie's two children, Jeremy Lathum and wife Christina; Emile Vargas and husband Jonathan; and Minnie's nine blessed grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Joy Clayton, and his brother, Ricky Lynn Duncan.
A private family service may be held at a later date.
