Ben Miller Richerson
Marietta - Ben Miller Richerson, 82, of Marietta, OK, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Mercy Love County Medical in Marietta. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Marietta.
Ben was born June 28, 1938 in Ardmore, OK to Lloyd and Myrtle Lee (Stufflebeam) Richerson. He was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Ardmore High School. Ben was a boxer in the United States Army. In 1990, he founded Pollution Reduction Systems, Inc., which designs and develops filters for the auto lighting industry. Ben enjoyed visiting with the vendors and engineers he did business with over the years. He sold the company to his son this year. He was very patient about his work. He was an inventor with multiple patents. Ben loved helping people. He always said, that if he did not help them when they were in need, then God would not help him. Ben enjoyed fishing. He said he always enjoyed catching fish, not just going fishing. Ben had an excellent work ethic, a great sense of humor and a love for his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ben was also preceded in death by a brother, Don Richerson and daughter-in-law, Ann Richerson.
Survivors include longtime companion and soul mate, Ann Deerinwater of the home; three sons, Ben Richerson and wife Donna of Mansfield, TX, Boyd Richerson and wife Patty of Denton, TX, and Shaun Richerson of Ardmore; daughter, Kristi Richerson of Ardmore; two stepsons, Tim Sakveeradetkul and wife Onin of Garland, TX, and Leo Saveeradetkul and wife Van of Garland; sister, Shirley Dry of Dallas, TX; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
