Donald Gene Love
Donald Gene Love, 62, of Wortham, TX passed away on May 27, 2021.
Don was born on July 16, 1958 in Lancaster, California, to Billie Taylor and Harvey Love Jr, both from Ardmore, Oklahoma.
He attended Agua Dulce, Acton, and Palmdale Schools in CA, where he was a High School standout Pitcher on the Falcons' Baseball Field.
Don joined the Navy after graduating High School, as a C-3 Poseidon Nuclear Missile Tech/Sonar Tech -Submarines.
After Don's career in the Navy, he later became IBEW Union Electrician. Don's stepdad had started both of his son's knowledge in the electrician world in the business of Wells and Son's Electric, a family business when he was younger. Don loved working as an Electrician for the Union so he could travel all over the United States, he was not one that liked to stay in one place. He also had a love of being a mechanic, another family tradition. His love in cars was for Corvette's, and he made sure he owned quite a few in his lifetime. He became a Corvette Racing Enthusiast. Don was a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation, Native American Tribe. He loved his native American heritage.
Don is preceded in death by his Father, Harvey Love Jr., Stepfather, Lloyd Wells, Sons, Steven Michael Love and Curtis Lawson. He is survived by his Son, Michael Love and his Wife, Kassi, his Mother, Billie Taylor Wells, Brother, Robert Wells and Sister, Kimberly Wells-Baker and Husband Ben Baker and Nephew, Kory Wells.
