Marietta - Funeral services for Paul Edward Sconce, 62, of Marietta, OK are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services Chapel in Marietta. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Paul was born in Ardmore, OK on March 3, 1959, the son of John Custom and Viola (Clark) Sconce. He died on August 30, 2021 at his residence.
Paul was a lifelong area resident and graduated with the Thackerville High School Class of 1977. He spent most of his adult life in fabrication and welding with his most recent years at Dragon Products. Paul married his love, Stacy Thompson on September 27, 2007 at the Rock Tower Pavilion at Lake Murray. He was a member of the Global Harvest Church in Ardmore. He loved praising Jesus and studying his bible. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the PBR (Professional Bull Riders), football and going on nature walks at the Blue River in Tishomingo, OK. Paul was passionate about music and spent countless hours playing his bass guitar. Although he had many interests, nothing was more precious than challenging his grandkids to a fun evening playing boardgames or attending their sporting events.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, John and Viola Sconce; and a sister, Sheilah Shankles.
Survivors include his wife, Stacy Sconce of the home; daughters, Karissa G. Erwin of Marietta, and Julie M. Houston and husband Victor Fields of Marietta; son, Kavin R. Sconce of Marietta; step-children, Rachael Chambers of Ardmore, Kathryn Swenson of Dallas, TX, and Cherish Swenson of Ardmore; siblings, Carolyn Liddell and husband Wesley of Thackerville, John D. Sconce and wife Pat of Shady Dale, OK, and David Sconce and Dessie Strickland of Thackerville; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Honorary bearers are Houston Taylor, Kyler Erwin, Bricaria Houston, Devon Sconce, Caden Erwin, and the late Jimmy Sampson.
