The daughter of the late James and Ora Keen Spurlock, Betty was born February 28, 1928 in Ardmore and she went to be with her Lord on December 5, 2021 at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 6 days.

She and Ray Almon were married in Gainesville, Texas on June 1, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1998.

Betty was the manager of Cablecom in Ardmore until she retired. She then worked for Dick Washington plumbing for a number of years as a secretary. She was also an active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, director, and oversaw the nursery for over 20 years. Betty lover her Lord and missed church when she no longer was able to attend. She also loved her family very much.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rosetta Almon of Pauls Valley; grandchildren, Pam Helvey and fiancee Corey, Kim Russell and husband Don, Jerren Almon and wife Christa, Meredith Vickery and husband Matt, Monica Caldwell, Elizabeth Keelan and husband Will, Terri Coyle and husband Mike, Cullen Almon and wife Denni; great grandchildren, Jake Helvey, Marshall Helvey and wife Shelby, Sara and Madeline Russell, Kylie Dudley and husband Grayson, Jaxen and Kreiden Almon, Holland and Baylor Vickery, Marlee Taylor, Brynlee and Rowdy Caldwell, Blake Almon, Hannah, Dylan and Jameson Keelan, Shelby and Michael Coyle, Aubra Almon, Grayson, Colton and Avery; great-great grandchildren, Liam and Layla Helvey and Kase Helvey and numerous nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sons, daughter-in-law, one brother and 7 sisters.

Funeral services for Betty Ann Almon will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Donny Custar officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jake Helvey, Marshall Helvey, Cullen Almon, Jerren Almon, Blake Almon and Steve Spurlock.
