Eric Christian Bentley, 49 passed away December 7, 2021, in Leander, Texas. The son of Larry R. and Debra K. (Sons) Bentley was born February 21, 1972, in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Ardmore High School (class of 1990) in Ardmore Oklahoma and joined the U.S. Marine Corps that same year. Eric served as a rifleman and a Computer Systems Specialist. During his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Southwest Asia Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal: Meritorious Unit Citation; Good Conduct Medal (twice); Kuwait Liberation Medal and a Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1998 with the rank of Sargent

After the marines he pursued his interest in computers and was Employed as a Senior Dev/Ops Manager at Atos IT Solutions and Services. He loved to fish, especially deep-sea fishing, computer games, and his family and friends.

Eric is survived by his children: Elizabeth Bentley of New Braunsfield, Tx. and son Richard Bentley also of Leander, Mother Debra of Wynnewood, OK; Sisters Wendy (Bentley)Castleman and husband Brent of Ardmore, OK; Lacey (Bentley)Adams and husband Scotty of Wynnewood. He is also survived by many special cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father Larry, grandparents Robert & Frieda Bentley and Ira & Helen Hodges.

Memorial services will be held Saturday January 15, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Church of Sulphur with Pastor Thomas Thompson officiating.
