Dora “Helen” Pike was born October 12, 1932 to Vera (Ward) and Jack Thompson in Mabank, Texas. She passed from this life on January 6, 2022 at the age of 89.

Helen attended Mabank School. She married Johnie Ross Pike on October 11, 1953 in Durant, Oklahoma, from this marriage they had three daughters, Rebecca, Tamie, and Johnna. They moved to Ardmore in 1962. Helen became a member of the Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and the Local Court of Amaranth.

Helen was a house wife and co-owner of Johnie Pike Backhoe Service. She was involved with her children’s Plainview School activities. Helen was on a bowling team for Kentucky Fried Chicken. She loved to crochet and make quilts for her family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Vera and Jack Thompson; husband Johnie Pike; three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughters Rebecca Blakemore of Marietta, Oklahoma; Tamie McKown and her husband Shannon McKown of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; Johnna Laird and her husband Ray Laird of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; sisters May Nell Lindsey and Shirley Leitner; grandchildren Ronny Mantzke, Holly Creeden and her husband Steve Creeden, Sean Blakemore and his wife Lauren Blakemore (expectant baby Blakemore), Ross Laird and Brittanie Trent, Alex Laird and his wife Taylor Rinke; great grandchildren Aspyn Bates, Rocklyn Bates, Alexis Mantzke, Madison Mantzke Trinnity Mantzke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, January 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Brother Leroy Holman officiating.
