Funeral services for Marie Martha Pulte will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, at St. Mary Catholic Church conducted by Reverend Kevin J. Ratterman. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary Luis Gruntmeir, Marie was born April 30, 1926 at Kingfisher, Okla. She grew up there and graduated from Kingfisher High School, the class of 1944.
1952 was a memorable year for Marie as she graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in Oklahoma City, receiving her Registered Nurse diploma. Also that year she and Jerome F. Pulte were married Dec. 27, 1952 at Kingfisher. The parents of a daughter, Anne and a son, David, they had celebrated 43 years of marriage when her husband, Jerry, passed away, May 17, 1995.
An active member and supporter of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Women's Club of St. Mary, Marie was a faithful volunteer at St. Mary's Thrift Shop until her declining health for the last several years required that she stop. In addition to being a homemaker, Marie also worked as a Registered Nurse at the Carter County Health Department for some time.
Marie passed from life to life eternal, Jan. 2, 2020, at the age of 93 years, seven months and two days of age. Marie rejoins her loved ones; her parents, husband, six sisters and two brothers.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Anne Epperson and son, David Pulte; a grandson, Jason Pittman his wife, Jessica, and their son, (great-grandson), Gavin Pittman. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A woman of faith, Marie was loved by all who knew her; she will be missed but not forgotten.
