Debra Kay Baker, 61, of Ardmore, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020 at the Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born on March 8, 1958 in Ada, to the late Edward Earl Balch and Evah Lena Stewart Balch. Debra was raised in Madill and graduated from Madill High School in 1976. She worked at the Madill pants factory for several years. In 1994 she started working at Mercy Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist and retired on Dec. 31, 2019 after 26 years. Debra married Jacky Baker on Sept. 28, 1999. She was a member of the Cross-Point Fellowship Church in Healdton, and she enjoyed riding the motorcycle with Jacky. Debra also loved reading, being outside, walking and rescuing animals. Her greatest love was attending the kids sporting events.
She is survived by husband: Jacky Baker, Ardmore, children: Brandye Trisciani, Ardmore, Nicole Baker and husband Chris, Albemarle, N.C., Johnna Butler and husband Chance, Okinawa, Japan. Grandchildren: Tyler Dickson, William “Tripp” Trisciani III, Lenley Trisciani, Raylan Butler, Rori Butler and one on the way. Brother: Doug Balch and wife Luciann, Duncan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ardmore Animal Shelter, 321 Carol Brown Blvd, Ardmore, OK 73401.
Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020 at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a family hour from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 at Watts Memorial Chapel, Madill. Music arranged by Micah Newell. Derek Crawford and Micah Newell will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.
