Sandra Taylor

ARDMORE – Sandra Taylor, of Ardmore, OK passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022. She was 83. Sandra was born in Oklahoma City on May 6, 1938 to the late James and Delma (Bartlett) Garrigan.

Sandra was raised with the influence of art and music from her parents who performed in the early 30’s big band era. Early in Sandra’s life, she was an avid artist and exhibited her oil paintings in galleries and shows in the north and east Texas area. She also studied art history and ultimately taught art for several years in Tyler. When she wasn’t painting, she was playing tennis or running tournaments. After moving to Ardmore, her passion turned to genealogy where she spent years researching her own family history while helping many others with theirs. She taught herself to code websites and designed and managed various family lists.

Sandra had a great sense of humor and also loved reading, cooking and gardening.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 40 years, Coy D. Taylor; two stepsons Darvis and Drake Taylor; son David Krauskopf and wife Karen; daughter Kelly Krauskopf; sisters, Judy Guiterrez and Jill Evans; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 14th in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Chaplain Matt Benedick officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a
