Healdton treated Saturday’s third-place game in the Central Marlow Tournament as a way to finish the event in a positive manner.

Every Lady Bulldog tallied one hit in Healdton’s 11-3 triumph over Velma-Alma. 

Healdton finished the tournament with a 4-1 record.

Against Velma-Alma, Mikaela Reuber was the winning pitcher. 

Caycee Griffin had a double. 

“Sometimes, you’ve got to get yourself up to play in those third-place games,” Healdton coach Joel Bradberry said. “We got some big hits.”


Sterling 3, Healdton 1

Griffin finished a perfect 2-for-2, including a double. 

Maddie Bradberry tallied two hits in three at-bats. 

“It could have went either way,” coach Bradberry said.


Healdton 7, Walters 3

Griffin went 3-for-3 with a double in Healdton’s four-run victory. 

Mollie Marshall had two hits in three at-bats and was also credited with the win on the mound.


Healdton 9, Wayne 1

Four Lady Bulldogs had at least two hits while Reuber struck out four and tossed a two-hitter.

Bradberry had three hits in three official plate appearances. Griffin, Adrie Brown and Logan Miller each tallied two hits. 


Healdton 6, Rush Springs 0

Reuber tossed a two-hit shutout as the Lady Bulldogs cruised to the easy victory in the tournament opener.

Bayli Thompson was the top offensive performer for the Lady Bulldogs, tallying two hits in two plate appearances. Jessie Black also had two hits. Griffin had a double.
