THE COLONY, Texas — Murray State College men’s golf team wrapped up its fall season with a first place finish at “The Classic at the Tribute” tournament on Monday.

Sophomore Josh Shelley (75-73-148) finished four strokes behind Blair, while sophomore Davis Farnell (74-81-155) rounded out the efforts for the Aggies.

“I was very pleased with our fall season,” MSC coach Alan Smith said. “The boys improved a lot over the semester.

“Finishing under par shows me the players can compete in tough conditions with schools of all sizes. Our team should be very strong in the spring and any player could be in the number one spot.”
