MARIETTA — Marietta pulled off a rally in the first quarter but wasn’t able to overcome a two-point second quarter in a 56-44 home loss to Silo on Thursday night.

Marietta coach Jared Messer summoned Coleton Taylor off the bench after the Indians fell behind during the first quarter.

Taylor’s height provided the inside presence the Indians needed.

Marietta (5-2) rallied for a 14-13 lead after the first quarter.

Taylor finished with 10 points. Trey Mayes had 11 points.

The Silo Rebels (7-2) rallied with a 16-2 second-quarter run to take control.
