BYNG — Lone Grove got the looks it wanted, but struggled to make them in a 45-30 loss to Byng.

“I thought we played very hard, but it was just one of those nights when the ball didn’t go into the hole,” Lone Grove coach Nubbin McClennahan said. “Our defense is getting better. Giving up 45 points to Byng in Byng is pretty good. We did a good job on defense.”

Lone Grove played good defense in the first half. The Longhorns trailed 9-8 after the first quarter. Byng (4-4) led 19-14 at halftime.

Caleb Norman and Kemyon Sophus each had nine points to lead the charge for Lone Grove (2-3).
