TISHOMINGO — The Tishomingo girl’s basketball team will take a 4-1 record into the holiday break.

The Lady Indians held the Atoka Lady Wampus Cats to 22 points over the final three quarters to earn a 55-35 home win Friday.

Rylee Barnes and Kristen Lovett led the way with 14 points apiece.

Atoka (0-5) led 13-8 after the first quarter but Tishomingo outscored its counterpart 47-22 over the game’s final three quarters.

“We played good defense,” Tishomingo coach Boyd Houser said. “They broke our press a couple of times in the first quarter, but overall, played pretty good defense.”
