Sevin Franklin isn’t leaving the state of Oklahoma to play college football.
The Ardmore senior defensive end on Monday night announced on Twitter account his commitment to the University of Central Oklahoma, where he will join 2016 AHS graduate Sam Ruhl, who is also a defensive end.
Franklin flourished as an edge rusher for the Tigers, leading Ardmore to a runner-up finish in District 5A-1 this past season.
Ardmore ended the season with a 10-3 record and was one of the final four teams remaining in the Class 5A playoffs.
The Tigers played Bishop McGuinness in the state semifinals.
Franklin was a Super Team selection along the defensive line for The All-Ardmoreite football team.
