Ardmore advances to the Class 5A West Regional 1 championship game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Ardmore High School gymnasium.

Every Ardmore Lady Tiger got plenty of playing time, and all of them scored Thursday night as Ardmore rolled past the OKC Santa Fe South Saints 92-15 in Class 5A, Regional 1 action played at the Ardmore high school gym.   In earlier action, OKC Bishop McGuinness defeated Duncan 60-38. Both Duncan and Santa Fe South saw their seasons come to an end. Ardmore and McGuinness will play Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm at Ardmore High School gymnasium for the regional championship. Both teams will advance to area competition.   Ardmore (16-5), ranked No. 5 in Class 5A, wasted no time putting this game away. The smothering Lady Tigers defense was too quick for the Lady Saints to handle. Ardmore picked up 15 steals in the first period alone with most of those being in the frontcourt. From there the Lady Tigers were able to convert over and over on transition buckets.   The Lady Tigers led 26-2 after the first period and continued with their up-beat game through the second frame. By halftime Ardmore had forced 25 Lady Saint turnovers (24 from steals) and had taken a 48-5 lead.   Ardmore finished the game 40 of 74 (54 percent) from the floor compared to 15 percent (5 of 34) for Santa Fe South. Ardmore was 20 of 27 in the second half alone. The Lady Tigers had a 39-16 rebounding advantage and a 17-2 edge on the offensive glass. Ardmore owned a 13-0 advantage in second-chance points.   "The girls hit the floor tonight and took care of business," Ardmore coach Debra Manley said. "I'm always happy when everyone gets to not only play, but also to score. It was a good team effort tonight with everyone playing unselfish basketball. We will need a big effort on Saturday, however, when we face McGuinness. They have good size and also have a number of good shooters. This was a good win for us, and I believe it helped us in our preparation for the big Saturday game."   Manley was honored before the game for a milestone in her coaching career. The recent win at McAlester for the Lady Tigers was Manley's 700th victory. The victory over Santa Fe South puts her at 701 and on her way to other coaching highlights.   The entire second half was run by a mercy-clock that rarely stopped running. The game took just 59 minutes to complete.   Five Lady Tigers scored in double figures led by J'Sades Ainsworth's 17 points. Makila Case had 16 points, and Sierra Gordon finished with 15 points. Christa Pickens had 11 points, and Tieronay Banks chipped in 10 points for Ardmore.   Santa Fe South (9-16) was led by Melea Lovelace, who finished with eight points.
