For the Madill Wildcats, the third time really was the charm Friday night when it came to district play.


After enduring two tough losses to open the district portion of their schedule, the Wildcats put it all together against the Harrah Panthers, winning 36-6 on the road for their first district win of the season.


Madill now sits at 2-4 overall and 1-2 in district play.


Next up for the Wildcats will be a contest at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night at Blake Smiley Stadium against the Blanchard Lions.


With less than two minutes to go in the first quarter, the Wildcats took the lead.


Asa Robertson got a 17-yard touchdown run, before John Venable added the two-point conversion for an 8-0 advantage.


Late in the second quarter, the Wildcats extended their lead thanks to a two yard run from Trey Gammill with Francisco Perez adding the extra point for a 15-0 lead.


Just before the break, Robertson connected with Mateo Fajardo for a 28-yard touchdown pass, before Perez added the extra point for a 22-0 lead at the break.


In the third quarter, it was Kendall Robertson getting an 11 yard touchdown run to make it 29-0, before Fajardo sealed the game with a 37-yard touchdown run in the fourth.


Harrah got a consolation touchdown in the fourth thanks to a 35-yard run from Damarion Cooper.


Enable finished the game with 19 carries for 133 yards in the game, with Fajardo totaling eight carries for 78 yards with one touchdown.


Gammill finished with five carries for 55 yards and one touchdown, with Kendall Robertson finishing with six carries for 41 yards and one touchdown.
