While Thanksgiving might be a few weeks away, there was plenty of giving Thursday night in Marlow.

Unfortunately for the Lone Grove Longhorns, it wasn’t the type of giving they’d have wanted to do.

A total of four interceptions ultimately doomed Lone Grove to its second straight loss, as the Outlaws won a 14-0 game in Marlow.

Marlow took the lead in the first quarter thanks to a one yard rushing touchdown from Chase Knight, with Jace Gilbert converting the extra point for a 7-0 lead.

In the second quarter it looked like Lone Grove was going to get a spark after Cody McClennahan got an interception which stopped an Outlaws drive after Marlow got to the Longhorns 10-yard line.

Unfortunately, Marlow closed out the first half on a high note when Tyler New got an interception to leave it at 7-0 going into the break.

After the Longhorns got a defensive stop in the third quarter, the Outlaws got another interception, this time courtesy of Junior Marroquin at the Lone Grove 10-yard line.

One play later, Knight got his second touchdown of the game from 10-yards out to make it 14-0.

Lone Grove managed to get to the Outlaws 18-yard line in the fourth quarter, but the Longhorns were picked off for the fourth time in the game, ultimately sealing the game.

The loss dropped Lone Grove to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in district play.

Lone Grove is back in action at 7 p.m. Friday night at Longhorn Stadium against Plainview.
