STAFF SGT. JAMES NORMAN LEMASTER, RET.

Staff Sgt. James Norman Lemaster, Ret. passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 4, 2023. He was born August 8, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of the late James Washington and Virginia Lee Doerr Lemaster.

James graduated from Ardmore High School, class of 1964. He was an Eagle Scout and was awarded top honors as a scout.

He joined the military in 1964 and did multiple tours in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. He also did tours in Germany and Italy as well. After 21 years of faithful service, he was honorably discharge in 1985.

After his military service, James became a truck driver. He worked for Bluebonnet Milling, J & H Hauling and Koch. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends Todd and Toni.

James is survived by his wife Brenda; son Chris Jones and wife Beverly; sister Sharon; granddaughter Jessica; niece Christine and husband Randy and their family; nephews, Stephen and family; Kenny and wife Anna and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gary and his father and mother-in-law, Gil and Janet Larson.

At his request, James will be cremated and a private family burial will be held at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Cross Timbers Hospice, Ideal Home Health Care or a charity of your choice.
